Arinas journey as an artist and an individual has been marked by significant experiences and challenges that have shaped her to be the person she is today.

Born and raised in Ukraine, Arina spent the first 30 years of her life there. But life took a dramatic turning point when she decided to move to Australia all alone to seek safety and a healthier environment.

Leaving Ukraine was one of the hardest decisions Arina has ever made. Moving from a place where you feel at home, where you speak the language, and where everything is familiar, to a completely new environment was daunting. But being an immigrant has taught Arina to be resilient and adaptable. The initial period of her Australian journey has been challenging. She grappled with the language barrier and the feeling of having nothing and nobody in a foreign land a million miles away from Ukraine.

One of the most heart-wrenching experiences was having to separate from her daughter. Two years of not having her beloved child with her has been difficult to say the least. It is a long time to be apart and the pain of being separated from her, coupled with the difficulties of getting her visa approved, meant Arina could not travel overseas or bring her loved one to Australia. The separation was a profound source of suffering, but it also tested her strength and endurance. Arina learnt to bear difficulties with a strong heart.

As a mural artist, Arina travels around Australia transforming spaces with her art and creative talent.  Whether it's a commercial building or a private home, she finds immense joy in brightening up spaces with her work. Meeting new people and hearing their stories is an integral part of the process. Each mural she paints is not just a piece of art but a reflection of the stories and lives of those who inhabit the space. The connection with her clients and the opportunity to contribute positively to their environment brings Arina immense satisfaction.

Throughout her journey, Arina has learnt the importance of resilience and the power of art in healing and connecting with people. Despite the adversities, she continues to find strength in her work and in the stories of the people she meets.

In conclusion, her journey from Ukraine to Australia, her struggles with language and immigration, and the pain of separation from her daughter have all contributed to the artist she is today.

Each challenge has only strengthened her resolve to keep creating and to keep sharing the beauty of her art with the world.

Through her murals Arina aims to bring light and colour into people's lives, just as her art has done for her personally and professionally.
