Kiara Clemente: Embracing Change and Building a Business with Heart

Kiara Clemente is a 27-year-old Melbourne-born and bred entrepreneur with a rich Italian heritage, and her story is one of courage, self-discovery, and resilience. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in entrepreneurship—her mum ran a salon, her dad owned a construction company, and her uncles operated a family furniture business—Kiara was immersed in the world of business from a young age. This environment instilled in her a natural understanding of hard work, creativity, and the importance of supporting local communities.

A Logical Path in Accounting

After finishing high school, Kiara decided to pursue an accounting degree. While she wasn't entirely certain about her future career path at the time, she saw accounting as a stable and logical starting point. With the help of a family friend, she secured a role at an accounting firm while studying, gaining practical experience and laying the foundation for her professional journey. Over the next six years, she completed her degree and accumulated four years of tax accounting experience. From the outside, everything appeared to be progressing smoothly—she was on a clear career trajectory, and her future seemed mapped out.

The Turning Point: Questioning Her Passion

However, around the five-year mark, Kiara found herself at a crossroads. Despite her success and recognition in the industry, she began to ask herself a tough question: Do I enjoy accounting? She appreciated the credibility that came with being an accountant, but she realized that being competent in something doesn’t always mean it’s what truly fuels your passion. She wanted more—something that allowed her to create joy and meaning, not just stability.

In her own words, Kiara explains, “I realised that being ‘fine’ in a career wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to build something that genuinely made people happy.”

Venturing into Entrepreneurship

During the COVID pandemic, Kiara and a colleague decided to explore their entrepreneurial side. They launched a small online business selling women’s gifts, which quickly became a passion project. The experience was eye-opening—applying her accounting skills to a real business taught her invaluable lessons about e-commerce, operations, and customer experience. Over two years, she learned how to balance her day job with her side hustle, and she saw firsthand what it took to grow a small business from the ground up.

After stepping away from this venture, Kiara returned to the finance world, working in the in-house accounting team at Motorsport Australia. The role allowed her to experience accounting from an internal perspective, and she was fortunate to be involved in some incredible events, including the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix. She loved being part of such exciting moments and appreciated the industry’s energy.

The Birth of Bundl Gifting

Despite her success in her professional role, the entrepreneurial fire remained. Kiara’s desire to create something of her own never faded. She launched Bundl Gifting, a corporate gifting company dedicated to strengthening business relationships through curated gift hampers filled with high-quality Australian products. Bundl partners with industries such as real estate, construction, finance, and automotive, providing thoughtful gifts that celebrate milestones like property purchases, settlements, and new partnerships.

For Kiara, witnessing her hampers become part of these meaningful moments is incredibly rewarding. Each gift tells a story—of success, partnership, and appreciation—and she takes pride in sourcing products from local suppliers like Foxeys Hangout and Mumma Made Jam on the Mornington Peninsula. Supporting Australian small businesses is at the heart of her mission.

From Hobby to Growing Business

Starting small in 2023, Kiara built Bundl from her spare room while working full-time in accounting. She spent evenings packing hampers and preparing orders for clients across the country. The journey was challenging but fulfilling—each package she sent out reinforced her belief in her vision.

Recognizing the potential for growth, Kiara made a pivotal decision in 2025. She resigned from her role at Motorsport Australia, took on a part-time accounting position locally, and leased a warehouse to enable her business to scale. This decision wasn’t easy, but it was necessary to turn her dream into reality.

Since committing more time and energy, Bundl has tripled its sales and is gaining momentum across Australia. The business now supplies corporate hampers to a range of industries, helping companies celebrate achievements and milestones while supporting local producers. The impact goes beyond business—Kiara feels proud knowing her company helps promote Australian-made products and fosters community support.

A Message of Courage and Self-Belief

For Kiara, her journey is about more than just business success; it’s about inspiring others—especially women—to embrace change. Her story reminds us that it’s okay to reassess your career, to pivot, and to pursue what truly excites you. Being comfortable in your current path is fine, but the courage to explore new directions can lead to extraordinary growth and fulfillment.

Her advice to others is simple: trust yourself, back your instincts, and don’t be afraid to start small. Sometimes, the biggest breakthroughs come from taking that first step, even if it feels risky.

Looking Ahead

Kiara’s vision for Bundl is ambitious. She aims to expand her business across Australia while maintaining its focus on supporting local suppliers and creating meaningful, memorable gifting experiences. Her goal is to continue building a brand rooted in community, quality, and heartfelt connections.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that success doesn’t always follow a straight line. Sometimes, the most rewarding path involves taking detours, listening to your inner voice, and having the courage to chase your passions.
