Hannah Swinnerton is a passionate and inspiring 30-year-old mental health and anti-bullying advocate, based in the scenic Hastings on the Mornington Peninsula. With a heart dedicated to making a meaningful difference, Hannah is the proud host of the influential radio podcast Inspired to Soar with Hannah. The show airs weekly on Radio Western Port and reaches a global audience through streaming platforms such as Spotify, SoundCloud, and the station’s official website. Her new show was born from a significant opportunity granted by Radio Western Port, giving her a platform to create a space where she can inspire and uplift others by sharing powerful stories of resilience, transformation, and hope.

Hannah’s advocacy is deeply rooted in her own personal journey. Having faced relentless bullying throughout her school years, she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, managed an intellectual disability, and coped with ongoing mental health challenges—all during her formative years. Her path from pain to purpose truly began when she courageously shared her story in front of 600 students at Western Port Secondary College. That pivotal moment sparked a wave of change, both within herself and in her community, and marked the beginning of her mission to uplift, empower, and connect with others through honest storytelling and community action. Her openness and vulnerability have inspired countless individuals to embrace their own journeys of healing and self-acceptance.

Since that defining moment, Hannah has transformed her life in extraordinary ways. She has lost over 30 kilos through her dedication to gym training and running, embracing physical activity as a vital part of her mental health journey. Additionally, she proudly represents her community in Special Olympics swimming, demonstrating her resilience and commitment to living an active, healthy lifestyle. Her unwavering life motto, "Believe in yourself, embrace every challenge, and never stop striving for greatness," embodies her core message: that resilience, perseverance, and self-belief can help overcome even the most difficult obstacles.

Beyond her personal achievements, Hannah has made significant strides in the world of pageantry. Earning awards and titles on both local and national stages, she found that pageantry became more than just crowns and sashes—it was a powerful platform to advocate for body positivity, mental wellbeing, and the importance of self-worth. Her presence and voice in this space have helped challenge stereotypes and promote acceptance, inspiring others to embrace their authentic selves.

Her commitment to community goes far beyond her personal pursuits. Hannah has actively led local community events, hosted charity trivia nights, and spoken at schools, sporting clubs, and fundraising initiatives—always using her platform to remind others that they are never alone. Her work has involved collaborating with numerous community groups and organizations across Hastings, the broader Mornington Peninsula, and Frankston regions, advocating tirelessly for mental health awareness, inclusion, and support. Her efforts and dedication to making a difference were formally recognized when she was named Frankston’s Young Citizen of the Year, a prestigious honour celebrating her impactful contributions.

Hannah’s inspiring story and advocacy have garnered media attention, with features on Channel 7, in local newspapers, and across various radio platforms. She continues to speak passionately at schools, community gatherings, mental health forums, and sporting clubs, always carrying with her a heartfelt message of healing, strength, and unwavering belief in the power of sharing your truth. Her voice continues to resonate with many, reminding everyone that no matter their struggles, they are capable of overcoming and flourishing.

Through her ongoing efforts, Hannah Swinnerton exemplifies resilience, compassion, and empowerment, inspiring countless people to embrace their own stories and strive for greatness. Her journey from pain to purpose serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating that with courage, community, and self-belief, transformation is possible.
