I remember the day l was trying to find an intro and outro song for ‘THE DAILY MIRROR’, something that would reflect the meaning behind the platform l was creating. After googling and listening, ‘Stories’ by Boo Seeka became my perfect choice of song. Boo Seeka’s song ‘Stories’ was released on the 16th of December 2022. Call it coincidence, luck, ironic, right place, or right time but somehow the stars aligned and now after 12 months of its release Boo Seeka will be joining me for a chat session at ‘The Daily Mirror’,

If you haven’t had the pleasure of listening to Boo Seeka’s music, do yourself a favour and take some time out to be mesmerised, encapsulated, and soothed by the lyrics and sounds of his deep and meaningful thoughts and lyrics. The beats and blending elements of electronic, pop, and indie genres will take you on a lyrical journey that you feel expresses his reality, and in some ways, maybe your own.

When l listen to music l embrace my own human spirit, the person l am and want to be. When l listen to Boo Seeka’s music l am captivated by the song's verses that express a gamut of themes such as resilience, self-discovery, external expectations, challenges and obstacles, sense of defiance and determination, internal struggles, self-worth, decision-making, the possibility of loss, uncertainty, taking risks, making choices, self-exploration, personal growth and the realisation of one's value and purpose in life.

Doing this thing we call life isn’t always an easy pathway and the journey we travel can be difficult. Despite setbacks, challenges and difficulties, music can help us to heal and to search for meaning in our life.

l read the quote below more than a decade ago at ‘BAHA’ in Rye, now renamed ‘HABA’.

Music is the last true voice of the human spirit. It can go beyond language, beyond age, and beyond colour straight to the mind and heart of all people.”

Ben Harper

The ‘BAHA’ was my stomping ground each time l would visit the Mornington Peninsula. Now, this beautiful community and my new surroundings, l call home.

Once again call it coincidence, luck, ironic, right place, or right time but somehow the stars aligned yet again and the man behind the music ‘Boo Seeka’ will be performing live at ‘HABA’ in Rye on Saturday 2nd March 2024 and l can’t wait! A great opportunity to see Boo Seeka as well as hear and feel the music live.

Monday 11th December 2023 1pm https://rppfm.com.au

Sometimes the unexpected happens and when you’re faced with an issue and not prepared it can either rattle your mind with confusion or it tests you to think quickly.

Today was a think quick moment when unforeseen circumstances came to my attention. l was notified that Boo Seeka wasn't available to chat with me as initially planned but thankfully my friend Brodie, the wonderful mentor who trained me at Rppfm was ready to save the day. Without hesitation his quick thinking worked out beautifully. Within forty-five minutes we met at the studio in Mornington ready to go to air, 1pm as scheduled.

Our chat flowed organically. We spoke about a variety of topics including my hairdressing career, the good and bad about the look of eyelash extensions, the meaning of tattoos and whether they are just body art, meaningful or both, and the future of radio.

To top it off Lana Delray was Brodie's choice of music. We listened to her beautiful songs and heartfelt lyrics. We also chatted about Taylor Swift, Brodie encouraging me to watch her documentary ‘Miss Americana’. I am curious so l will put it on my to do list!

Thanks again Brodie for your ongoing support. Appreciate you and your time, always.
