Andrew Grahame’s love for music began in the warm, familiar surroundings of his childhood home, where the sounds of his parents singing filled every corner. His mother, a talented pianist and songwriter, often sat at the piano, filling their home with beautiful melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Her passion for creating music was contagious, and Andrew remembers countless nights sitting beside her, listening as she played and sang with emotion in her voice. His father, full of energy and passion, brought his own soulful singing into the mix, turning their home into a sanctuary of music, love, and expression. Growing up immersed in these influences, Andrew learned early on that music wasn’t just about notes and melodies—it was about sharing emotion and connecting with others.
He vividly recalls sitting at the piano with his mum, trying to mimic her chords, and feeling a spark of inspiration ignite inside him. “Music is the language of the soul,” she would say, and those words became a guiding principle for him.
As Andrew entered his teenage years, his passion intensified. He began writing his own songs, pouring his feelings into every lyric, every chord. He was determined to find his voice. When he was 15, he entered his first big competition—a local talent show in Lansborough. To his surprise and immense pride, he won. The event was judged by the talented Chuka Parker, a familiar face from Australia’s Got Talent, whose encouragement left a lasting impression on Andrew. That victory wasn’t just about winning a trophy; it was about validating his dreams and fuelling his desire to pursue music seriously. “That moment made me realize I wasn’t just doing this for fun—I was born to do this,” Andrew recalls.
But life’s path wasn’t always smooth. During his late teens, Andrew faced some of the darkest days of his life. His home life became increasingly tumultuous due to an abusive stepfather, and he knew he had to leave. With nowhere else to turn, he found refuge in a Salvation Army support unit, where he lived and struggled through a tough year. Despite the darkness of that time, Andrew found a silver lining—music became his refuge. Every day, he wrote songs, sang, and found solace in his voice. Those moments of songwriting and performance became a vital part of his healing process. One of the most profound moments came during a school end-of-year assembly, where he performed in front of his peers and teachers. Watching a parent in the audience crying after his performance, Andrew realized that his music had the power to evoke genuine emotion in others. It was then that he knew his calling: “To make people feel something—that’s what I was born to do.”
Through all the struggles, Andrew refused to give up. Even when life threw him curveballs—such as a painful breakup with the love of his life—he kept pushing forward. He shifted careers from working in concrete construction to becoming a gas technician, all while keeping his passion for music alive. He entered competitions like “Fast Track” and “Two Buoys Unplugged,” where he celebrated first-place wins. Each milestone reinforced his belief that his music could make a difference. “Music is my therapy, my voice, my purpose,” he often says.

Andrew draws inspiration from artists like Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Zach Bryan, and Pete Murray. Their heartfelt storytelling and raw emotion influence his own songwriting and sound—an honest blend of vulnerability and authenticity. His lyrics reflect his journey, struggles, and hopes, resonating deeply with those who listen. His latest single “Like Déjà Vu,” released on October 17th 2025, reflects his growth as an artist. It captures his resilience, love, and the power of memories—an emotional milestone that he’s proud to share with his fans.

He’s currently working tirelessly on his first official EP, pouring hundreds of songs’ worth of experience and emotion into this new project. “I’ve written hundreds of songs over the years,” Andrew chuckles, “but this EP is special. It’s the story of where I’ve been, who I am, and where I want to go.” His dedication is paying off—he’s already played some big gigs, including the Peninsula Cup, where he shared his music with larger crowds and received incredible feedback.

Looking ahead, Andrew has big dreams. He hopes to continue sharing his story through music, connecting with fans across the country and beyond. “My goal is to inspire others who are going through tough times and show them that there’s always hope,” he says confidently. He also dreams of traveling internationally, playing festivals, and collaborating with artists who share his passion for raw, honest storytelling.
Through it all, Andrew remains grounded and grateful. “Music saved my life,” he often says, “and I want to give others that same feeling—that sense that they’re not alone.” His journey is a testament to resilience, passion, and unwavering determination. And with every song he writes, every stage he steps onto, Andrew Grahame continues to prove that no matter how tough life gets, the power of music can carry you through.
His story is far from over. Fans can look forward to more heartfelt songs, honest stories, and powerful performances from an artist who truly lives for the music.
