Music has been a vital and transformative force in Adilās life. Surrounded by its influence from a young age, he grew up in a household where his father was a well-known solo artist in their hometown, breathing music daily. His mother also played a significant role, introducing him to the piano and sparking his musical journey. In retrospect, music has been coursing through his veins for yearsālike a dormant volcano waiting to erupt.
Known artistically as Chico, he has always had a talent for words and storytelling, which became his refuge during life's ups and downs. Both the struggles and the triumphs have shaped him into the man he is today. His musical influences span from the iconic sounds of the 80s and 90s to contemporary artists, and he feels incredibly grateful to come from a family deeply immersed in music. He believes the 80s and 90s marked the pinnacle of creativity and artistic expression. Artists like Eagles, Bryan Adams, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, and Maroon 5 are among his favourites, and he mentions that these influences are woven into his current singles and the new songs heās working on behind the scenes.
It wasnāt until 2017 that a diagnosis profoundly reshaped Chicoās life, bringing about catastrophic, life-altering experiences. He lost hearing in his left ear, accompanied by persistent tinnitusāringing in the earāthat continues to this day. Rather than succumb to despair or play the victim, he found a sense of gratitude and humility within his struggle. He immersed himself in the sounds of music, transforming adversity into inspiration.
Self-taught on the guitar, Chico began channelling his storytelling through melodies, turning his pain into art. The dormant volcano within him erupted, fuelling a new creative path. For him, songwriting became more than just a craftāit became a way of living, encapsulating chapters of his life. He envisioned his albums as journeys, beginning with a dilemma and emerging reborn.
This process culminated in his debut EP, Epiphany. The mini album symbolizes a man discovering his purpose, learning from his experiences, and living through his emotions. It reflects his evolutionācoming out on the other side as a stronger, humbler individual.

Music isnāt the only outlet for Chicoās artistic expression; he also loves to draw, sketch, and immerse himself in visual arts. Once a month, he dedicates a morning to creating a visual piece for a chalkboard at his local cafĆ©. He envisions a quote or message that aligns with the cafĆ©ās vibe and then loses himself in crafting an image, drawing inspiration from his surroundings. His goal is to foster a positive and comforting environment for the community through his art.
Visual arts came into Chicoās life naturally, without any formal training or classesāhe simply gave it a try. What started as an enjoyable activity soon became a passion, and with each piece, his skills and creativity evolved. Fuelled by love and curiosity, he continued to develop his artistic talents, finding joy and purpose in every stroke and design.
Chico is a dedicated Sports Therapist, driven by passion and ambition. He loves helping others in need, supporting them on their athletic journeys or through everyday challenges. For him, the most rewarding part of the profession is being physically present and face-to-face with people, guiding them toward achieving their goals.
His choice of career was deeply influenced by his own physical and mental battles. These experiences cultivated empathy, passion, and perseveranceāqualities he freely imparts to everyone he works with.
As a young athlete, Chico was on the verge of signing a European football contract, but at the age of 15, he suffered a devastating injury. Two years later, at 17, he faced another setback. With football being his entire world, he was forced to reinvent himself, redefining who he is today. Out of those struggles, he chose to become a source of support for others facing similar adversity. He aspires to be the voice that says, āYou are not alone,ā offering hope and encouragement through his own journey of resilience.
For Chico, the artistic world is essential and needs greater recognition. It has helped him maintain balance in his life, easing the weight of his profession. Creativity serves as a mental switch, allowing him to move between different hemispheres of the brainārecharging, reflecting, and embracing moments of complete freedom and imagination.
Chico is unwavering in his belief that music and art have made him a better Sports Therapist, and likewise, his work in sports therapy has enhanced his artistry. To truly understand what brings him joy, he had to reach a point of deep unhappinessāan experience that ultimately shaped him into the person he is today. This journey reflects the yin and yang principle, balancing pain and growth, darkness and light.
Both art and sports therapy are Chicoās true purpose in life. They enable him to help others physically and mentally, while his passions in audio and visual arts give him a broader way to connect with society. He feels genuinely blessed to have faced and overcome the obstacles in his life. As he puts it, these challenges make life fun, and the ever-changing environment fosters resilience and compassion within him.
