Living with alopecia has been one of the most challenging and transformative experiences for Tiahna Faraci. For those who don’t know, alopecia is an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss, testing one’s confidence, resilience, and ability to embrace themselves fully. Over the years, Tiahna has faced days of frustration and self-doubt, but she has also discovered the power of self-love, the importance of self-care, and the beauty of growth both inside and out.
Tiahna is incredibly grateful to share that her alopecia has improved significantly. She has been taking Baricitinib, a medication that has helped her hair grow back. Seeing progress has been a powerful reminder that healing is possible and reinforces her belief that with patience, effort, and support, individuals can overcome challenges and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Tiahna exemplifies the strength and resilience found in embracing each new day, demonstrating that recovery is a journey marked by small, meaningful steps. Her story highlights how true beauty emanates from confidence and self-assurance, reminding us that personal growth often stems from self-acceptance and the courage to face challenges head-on. Through her journey, she inspires others to cultivate their own inner strength and to recognize the power of believing in themselves.
Despite the progress, Tiahna still has bad days, just like everyone else. There are moments when self-doubt and a negative mindset creep in, but she has realized that it is okay to feel this way. Healing isn’t a straight line. It is a series of ups and downs that build resilience and strength. On those tougher days, she reminds herself how far she has come and focuses on the things that make her feel good: moving her body, nourishing her skin, and embracing practices that uplift her mind and spirit.

Learning to Care for Herself Inside and Out 🥗🤍
The journey has taught Tiahna that self-care is about so much more than what can be seen on the outside. Taking care of herself physically, mentally, and spiritually has become a priority. She has been focusing on a balanced routine that includes exercise to stay strong, skincare to feel confident, and mindfulness practices to find peace. Connecting with herself on a deeper level has made all the difference. It’s about showing up for herself every day, even when things aren’t perfect.
Tiahna’s experience with alopecia also inspired her and her mum, Rosanna, to create ‘Tia and Rose’ a skincare line that promotes self-love and confidence. With Rosanna now taking the lead, ‘Tia and Rose’, face+body+hair oil continues to shine as a 100% natural blend of 11 hero oils, vegan, cruelty-free, and suitable for all skin types. Seeing the positive feedback has been incredibly rewarding for Tiahna, knowing that something she helped create is making people feel confident and cared for.

The Lessons She Has Learnt Along the Way
One of the biggest lessons Tiahna has learnt is the power of acceptance, embracing where she is while working towards where she wants to be. For so long, she struggled with the idea that she had to be perfect to be worthy. Now, she is learning to celebrate progress over perfection and to appreciate the little victories.
Gratitude has also been a game changer for Tiahna. On days when she feels overwhelmed, Tiahna tries to focus on the things she’s thankful for: including her health, family, the community that has supported her through it all and the ability to keep going. Gratitude has a way of shifting perspectives and making even the hardest days feel a bit lighter.

Looking Forward with Hope and Confidence💪🏻✨
Each day Tiahna continues to heal, grow and learn more about herself. Her message is clear. “You’re not alone. Healing takes time, and it’s okay to have tough days. What truly matters is to keep showing up for yourself and being kind to yourself. Continue to embrace self-compassion even on the worst days. Keep moving, keep learning and don’t let other people’s opinions rule your life”.
Tiahna has realized that negative self-talk only holds you back. We’re often kinder to others than we are to ourselves, but self-compassion is just as important. Being mindful of how you speak to yourself can make the world of difference, a lesson Tiahna is still learning every day.
This journey hasn’t been easy, but it has taught Tiahna that true strength is about embracing who you are at every stage.
Tiahna's enthusiasm for the future and gratitude for sharing her journey with others reflects a wonderful spirit of hope and connection. Her positive outlook not only highlights her personal growth but also invites those around her to participate in a shared experience of learning, healing, and transformation. This sense of community can enhance the journey, making it richer and more meaningful for everyone involved.

Never stop showing up for yourself 💖
"Never stop showing up for yourself" is a powerful reminder that self-care and self-advocacy are essential for personal growth and well-being. Prioritizing your needs, goals, and mental health fosters resilience and empowers you to face challenges with confidence. By consistently showing up for yourself, you cultivate a deeper sense of self-worth and pave the way for a more fulfilling life.
